Last Semester of Classes in Keene!
Ananke returns to the Washington D.C. area in early spring. This will be the last semester of belly dance classes she offers in Keene, New Hampshire.
A Brand New Class at Downtown Fitness for Women!
This one hour, drop-in class features a cardio warmup with a breakdown of authentic belly dance technique, followed by 30 minutes of non-stop dancing to the latest pop music from Egypt. We close class with light, belly dance inspired strength training and stretching. It’s a gentle but complete workout that’s perfect for current dance students who wish to take their study to the next level, or as an introduction to the art for non-dance students. No prior experience required, two left feet okay!

Advanced Beginner + Intermediate
We’re going to try something special for the last semester. Instead of dividing students up by their experience level, I’m going to divide you up by your interests. Each class will have a particular focus and teach a particular set of skills. I think this is the best way to maximize our time in a short semester, and to make sure everyone gets to study something they like. As an Advanced Beginner or Intermediate student, you can choose to take one or both classes.
Egyptian Pop Choreography: Learn this flirty routine just in time for the Spring Hafla! Includes five weeks of instruction, a rehearsal, and your spot in the show. Performance optional. March 25th to April 22nd (5 weeks)
Tuesdays | 7:00 – 8:00 pm
Chic Technique: Learn how to translate movement families (circles, waves, eights, and shimmies) to different parts of the body. A class to triple your movement vocabulary. March 25th to April 22nd (5 weeks)
Tuesdays | 8:00 – 9:00pm

PLEASE NOTE: Our studio location may change before or during the spring semester. The new location has not been decided. I will keep you updated and will post information as soon as it’s available.
Which class should I register for?
If you have little to no dance experience register for the Beginner level. If you have taken my Beginner level class, or have previous dance experience and have gotten my permission, sign up for the Advanced Beginner level. If you have completed 2 semesters of Advanced Beginner, are currently enrolled in my Intermediate class, or have had extensive instruction from another teacher and have gotten my permission, register for the Intermediate level. If you have any questions just ask!
